Keeping My Blood Sugar in My Target Range: Part Two

Uncontrollable blood sugar is the cause of several preventable conditions. It is very important if you have diabetes to keep your blood sugar consistently inside of your target range.

You can discover your target range by discussing with your doctor. He or she can help you with meal plans and several other things to help you manage your blood sugar. There are also some things that you can implement on your own to help you manage your blood sugar well.

Some studies show that cinnamon could potentially help lower blood sugar. However, many other studies have shown no difference. Therefore, you should use cinnamon to flavor food. There is not a guarantee that it will help you control your blood sugar.

Another trick that is used is alcohol. This is something that you should talk to your doctor about. High amounts of alcohol consumption can trigger several different disorders inside of your body. Therefore, it is important that you discuss the option with your healthcare physician.

Alcohol can lower blood sugar levels, but it can be erratic.

Most people with diabetes drink only 1-2 glasses of alcohol a day. By drinking in moderation, you should avoid many harms. However, talk to your doctor beforehand to see if alcohol will interfere with any of the medications you are currently taking.

One thing my brother loves doing is drinking green tea. This is a great replacement for beverages like pop or juice.

Like everything else, it is important to only drink green tea in moderation. There is some evidence showing that green tea can assist with lowering blood sugar levels. However, nothing has been found statistically significant.

While we are still on the topic of beverages, it is important not to forget about a very important one. It is a smart move to drink water throughout the day because it has zero calories.

Water doesn’t lower blood sugar levels, but it does prevent you from becoming dehydrated. It is important to drink water consistently throughout the day.

Some sources suggest to eat some vinegar with foods. There are studies showing that vinegar could help lower blood sugar levels by slowing own the process to digest starches.

I would suggest to put it on top of your food because it is disgusting to drink plain. Use it as a salad dressing for your vegetables instead of ranch.

Vinegar is not the cure all for high blood sugar. However, it is definitely worth the try.

It is extremely important to make sure that you are on top of your diabetes. This is why maintaining blood sugar is so important. If you do not have control of that, then you do not have control over anything with diabetes.

Talk with your doctor about your meal plan and beverages. This will help you to make an action plan when it comes to your meals.

Overall, it is extremely important that you keep your blood glucose inside of its target range. It will help you prevent several disorders in the long haul.
